GOD SENDS SPECIAL HELPERS TO WINTERIZE THE BARN AT MISSION CENTRAL
We have been concerned with winter coming on that the barn's old door openings and the cracks would let in some unwanted snow. Old Missionary Gary had worried for some time about this problem that had been increased with the minor damage done by a 93 mile an hour straight line wind that blew damaged our big SW door opening.
When the Lord sent Missionaries Rick and Marla Steenbock here to Mission Central as we commissioned them and sent them to Russia and Eurasia, Rick's dad and mom, Virgil and Jan Steenbock from Council Bluffs, Iowa came up to Mission Central. As Virgil was leaving he said, "Missionary Gary, if you ever need any handy man work done around this place, Jan and I would like to help!" Wow, just at the right time!!!! What an answer to prayer!
This wonderful couple came and spent a number of days working and working and they brought their own tools, and what a JOY to see that they were able to completely cover the opening of the damaged door in the SW part of the barn, and here you see them standing in the South America Section of the Museum with all items back in place and the new wall all installed. (see Steenbocks new wall at MC) The couple was also able to use special expanding caulking in the cracks and openings in the old barn, and they used quarter rounding to seal up the areas.....what a blessing as they work in the Russian Section of the Museum (see Steenbock workers)....
Not only does the Steenbock family have Missionaries in Russia and Eurasia, but also right here at home....helping in such a special way. We couldn't exist here at Mission Central without the Lord sending us wonderful volunteers like Virgil and Jan.
