A WONDERFUL GROUP FROM WAYNE, NEBRASKA VISITS MISSION CENTRAL
God is sending people from all over the Mid-West to visit Mission Central. To hear what God is doing in these last days to reach out to people here in our District and around the world. What a blessing to welcome a group of people who are "not normal" from Grace Lutheran Church at Wayne, Nebraska. They enjoyed their tour of the facilities and were able to enjoy the new media equipment recently installed in the barn and fellowship hall at Mission Central. After their tour of the Museum and facilities, they enjoyed a "country dinner" and then were provided with a special Mission Presentation by Gary in the air conditioned Fellowship Hall. Many of the people commented that "you just have to see it to believe it". One man said, "I wasn't going to come, but my wife made me, and NOW I'm so glad that I did come along!"
One of the members of the group was Missionary Gertrude Vahlkamp from Wayne, Nebraska who taught in Papua New Guinea for a number of years. She had contributed to the artificats in the New Guinea Section of the Mission Museum. What a special blessing to welcome these "not normal" people who made the effort to come and see first hand what God can do in the middle of a cornfield.
