AMAZING WAGONER FAMILY DOES IT AGAIN!
There are times when old Missionary Gary get's a little down in the dumps and wonders, "Are people really getting it?" And then the Lord places special families in my life to encourage, direct, pray for and keep me going! One of those special families is the Bruce Wagoner Family from Clarinda, Iowa. Bruce and his dear wife Jean Wagoner raised a family of 12 children on a small farm down north of Clarinda, Iowa. It always was such a special family, because they even formed their own "singing family group" and traveled around sharing a wonderful message in music. Bruce was called to our real home in the late 1990s and the family has "scattered" all over the United States. But, their love for their special mom has only grown stronger! At least once a year around the end of the year, the family gets together to share memories and show their Mom, Jean Wagoner, how much they love her.
For quite a number of years, in lieu of Christmas Gifts for one another, the family has selected some special "Mission Projects" that all the family members can provide for when they are together. Old Missionary Gary has had the privilege of meeting with this wonderful family for many of these year end meetings! What a JOY to share some of the latest things that God is doing in HIS mission field to bring the Lord Jesus to people in darkness!
This year was no exception, and on the 14th of January the family was gathered together at the Wagoner Family Farm, and what a blessing to see all the family and renew this special relationship with each of the children and grandchildren and even great grandchildren. This year the family chose 3 projects and each family could support what ever project they would want. What a blessing to work with such a "mission minded" family, that wanted to something for Jesus and not themselves!
