FIRST EVER VOLUNTEER TRANSCRIPTIONIST CONFERENCE AT MISSION CENTRAL 4/29/11

It was a windy day at Mission Central on Friday the 29th of April, but it didn't stop the special conference that was planned for the entire day on this special Friday.  Mary Kilburn from West Des Moines, Iowa, Suellen Sellmeyer from Pleasant Hill, Iowa, Sharon Ann Irwin from Early, Iowa, Mary Kropf  from Denison, Iowa, Chyeral Stoholman from Autin, Minnesota, Coleen Classen from Utica, Nebraska and Barb Gierke from Fremont, Nebraska were all present and accounted for.  These seven special typists all volunteer their time and talents to take the transcription tapes that are sent and they do all the letters and typing at NO COST.  What an amazing group of people that the Lord has called together.  Here you see the group in the Wayside Chapel for devotions that were held there in the morning and then upon leaving in the afternoon.

Pictured here are the volunteers, and Rev. Tim Gierke and Rev. Bob Stohlman were also in attendance.  It was truly a special day and one that the volunteer typists will long remember.  Each volunteer was given a special certificate of appreciation for their offices in their homes.

The Bible Study Theme for the day was based on Eph. 2:10, "Work prepared in advance for these people to do"....it was a time of sharing and each staff person was so delighted to meet all of the other workers.  Excellent work suggestions were given and some networking of ideas were discussed.  Supplies were given to the workers, and reports from Mission Gary reflected the latest happenings in the Lord's Mission Field.
