GOD USES VOLUNTEERS IN SUCH A POWERFUL WAY!
The Corporate World of today would like one to believe that it would be absolutely impossible to carry out a huge volume of work using VOLUNTEERS! However, that is NOT the case when it comes to the Lord's work, as HE calls HIS special peopel to get HIS work done in such an amazing way!
Long time Volunteer and special helper, Kathryn Sprecher from Des Moines, Iowa was called to be our special "Annual Mailing Director" for Mission Central here in the hills of western Iowa. Each year Mission Central puts out just ONE MAILING PER YEAR. Yes, just one mailing in which we thank the people that God has sent to help us here with HIS work. This mailing goes out at NO EXPENSE, as we have special volunteers that provide for the printing, mailing, stamps, and photos. Yes, we don't have to take one penny out for overhead for Mission Central of any gifts that come in for our annual mailing! Why? Because God sends us some wonderful Volunteers to do the work.
This year for the first time all of our mailing sheets were in color.....and this was done because Don Gettner from Remsen, Iowa, (our Volunteer Printer) purchased from his own funding a new color copy machine! God bless you, Don.
Richard Thies, our Volunteer Data Entry Director in Omaha printed and addressed all of the envelopes for 4000 letters that were sent out! Our Volunteer Staff in Des Moines, Iowa took over and we had volunteers from all over drive these items to one central location at Trinity Lutheran Church in Des Moines, where Kathryn Sprecher, then called together 34 volunteers from seven congregations! Each of the 3 sheets that went in the annual mailing had to be folded individually this year by the volunteers because the folding machine didn't work right, and it took a total of 130 hours to get this all put together with the stamps being put on and the 4000 envelopes being sealed and mailed.
This is another MIRACLE example of what God can do when HE calls his people together to do HIS work. We thank each and every one of the volunteers. You can see just a few of the volunteers working on the project (Sprecher #2)...and God can even use young missionaries like Kristen Berstler from Des Moines, Iowa to help with his work (see Sprecher#3)....
We thank and praise God for the help of our volunteer staff out at Mission Central, where the Lord has sent us 10 Volunteer Typists that work in their homes, and a total of 60 people that are willing to help!
