THE FINAL CHAPTER IN THE STORY OF THE JOHN DEERE MISSIONARY TRACTOR

As the years have passed, Old Missionary Gary, has had the privilege of meeting some very, very "not normal" people and what a privilege and honor it is to know the kind of people that the Lord was talking about in 1st Peter 2:9 KJV, where He told us that we are to be a PECULIAR people!  We are to be people that are in the world but not of the world.  People should look at us Christians and know that Jesus lives in our hearts.

I could tell that the very first time I met Rog and Barb...that they were "not normal".  Yes, it was many years ago on a farm by Fort Dodge, Iowa.  Our friendship has grown over the years and when Rog told me that he and Barb were going to donate their 1957 John Deere model 520 tractor to Mission Central...I just knew that God had a wonderful plan for this tractor that was puchased by Rog's dad many years ago.  Yes, God can even use tractors to get HIS work done.

When I stayed with Hiram and Karen up in Cologne, Minnesota...I could tell that they were "not normal" either....what a JOY!  I could see why their son turned out the way that he did...because he is "not normal" either!  When Hiram and Karen said that they wanted to buy the tractor, and that it would help four of our dear missionaries and provide a gift of much more than we had asked...it was God's hand and part of HIS plan to help keep more missionaries on the field, telling more and more people about Jesus, who had never heard HIS name!

The one "catch" in the deal was that we had to figure out how to get the tractor from Fort Dodge, Iowa to Cologne, Minnesota....but, with God NOTHING is impossible, and Rog and Barb said, "If those folks are willing to provide a gift like that...then we'll get a trailer and deliver it ourselves!"....wow, what a deal!

We are attaching the pictures that tell the story of how Rog is driving the tractor off the trailer there at Cologne, Minnesota and Barb took the picture of Rog, Hiram and Karen all in front of the most amazing Missionary John Deere Tractor.  It's the final chapter in this MIRACLE story, and what a blessing this has been for so many people!  It's proof to old Missionary Gary, that God can use ANYTHING and ANYBODY to get His work done...even people who are "not normal"!!!
