COMMISSIONING OF STEENBOCKS GOING TO RUSSIA/EURASIA
We are all called to send people to all parts of the world to tell people about Jesus! That's what happened on Saturday the 19th of March at Mission Central. Yes, Rick and Marla Steenbock were commissioned by a special group of folks, which also included the relatives of the Steenbocks from Persia, Harlan, and Ida Grove, Iowa. What a blessing to send these Missionaries that will be working closely with the Honorable Missionary Rev. Brent Smith, Director of Russia and Eurasia Missions. I know that Pastor Smith has been praying and praying for many years that God would call a "Projects Coordinator" for the Mission Field and now the Lord has answered his call.
Here you see some of the people that God used to pray for and support these newest missionaries for the LCMS. They are commissioning the Steenbocks and praying for them, and also a picture of the Steenbock family that came to be with their relatives. The bus group from Wausa and Bloomfield, Nebraska spent the day and enjoyed this event so much! At the end of the day, old Missionary Gary totaled up the support that had come to Mission Central in this past week since we had knowledge of this couple at Mission Central, and the blessing was just another real MIRACLE.....God must want this young couple to go!!!!
