St. Paul Lutheran from Sioux City Visits Mission Central |
 |
On July 22nd, 2006, some special people who are "not normal" came to visit Mission Central. The Bible says in 1st Peter Chapter 2, verse 9, "that we are to be a peculiar people"....and these are the types of people that come to visit Mission Central. A special group of these "not normal" people came from St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sioux City, Iowa. They came for a tour of the facilities, and what a blessing to have them. They were surprised to find that Missionary Sharon Owens and her daughter Johanna from Macau were staying also at Mission Central. They enjoyed having a chance to visit with Sharon and her daughter and heard of some of her work in Macau in the ESL program there.
Pastor Ralph Shorey and his family were present with the group and so much enjoyed their stay. The group trip was organized by Lillian and Ralph Schroeder and all of the group seemed to appreciate so much the tour, and program that was presented. Pictured here is that special group of people, with the some holding the gift of the crosses that everyone received when they came for their missionary visit.
