BRAND NEW SIDEWALK TO WAYSIDE CHAPEL....
With winter fast approaching, it was so important to have a new sidewalk made at Mission Central, so folks could walk to the new Wayside Chapel. The weather has been indicating that snow and winter is just "around the corner".....would it be possible to have the sidewalk yet completed this year? It looked like it was just too late...but the Lord had other plans......our "Boss" can do anything and HE used Dr. Bob Wilke from Battle Creek, Iowa and his "crew of pastors and lay people" to complete the project in record time. With the help of Wayne Kafton, Bob Wilke, Floyd Wilke, Rev. Roger Carlisle, Rev. Merle F. Mahnken, Rev. Kurt Kaiser, Rev. Dave Lyons, Rev. Larry Lemke and Rick Knuth, the project was completed on a rainy and snowy day on November 12th, 2010! That evening we had about 3 inches of snow here at Mission Central, but the walk was done! Pictured here are the wonderful crew of 9 that helped......Zola Kafton prepared the wonderful lunch for the workers at Mission Central that day!
