MISSIONARIES FROM ST. LOUIS SEMINARY COME TO VISIT MISSION CENTRAL!
Miracles just keep right on happening at a place in the middle of "no-where" called Mission Central. Few people know that God is still "calling" people at "just the right time"......We had a whole bunch of miracles that took place at Mission Central on October 7th and 8th, 2011.
What an absolute JOY to welcome the Honorable Dr. Dale Meyer, President of our Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri along with his staff members, Dr. Victor Raj, Rev. Jeff Thormondson, and Dr. Henry Rowold. Also in attendance with this amazing group of people were a wonderful group of Students at the Seminary that will be our future "shepherds" of the congregations that God has given to us in the LCMS. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that a group like this would come to our humble location and improvements! What a blessing to have the opportunity to share with these dear folks the fact that God can even use an old set of farm buildings to get HIS work done.
Area families helped to provide housing for members of this group, and the staff all stayed at Mission Central and Maxine and JoAnn Thies provided the meals for these amazing missionaries for Supper, Breakfast and Dinner! They arrived on Friday afternoon and enjoyed a tour of the facilities and the Mission Museum and the Wayside Prayer Chapel, where their tour began with a Bible Study on the famous words of our Heavenly Father...."Are the Lord's arms too short?"...from Numbers Chapter 11. On Friday evening these hungry folks devoured 5 Beef Roasts that were prepared for them with the usual farm potatoes and gravy and the works! Here you see the students and staff at the table at Mission Central! (See photo of Students, Hungry)
Saturday was spent with presentations and observations of the Mission of the Church. Many miracle stories were shared with the group, and the students were there to witness a real miracle of how God called a special couple from Elkhorn, Nebraska to provide the resources at "just the right time" to send a missionary to Taiwan! They saw the missionary, and they saw the people that God prepared in advance for this project, and they were there in person to present the gift to the missionary. What a JOY to see the Lord in ACTION! Here you see the entire group at the sign at Mission Central.
