A NEW MISSIONARY SENT TO CAMBODIA...TO TEACH!
The Lord gives us instructions that we are to "equip the saints" and that's what we are called to do to share that Good News of the Lord Jesus with the entire world. Rev. Martin P. Schmidt, the pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church at Madison, Nebraska brought the students from the Lutheran School there and they came to spend at day of Mission Education at Mission Central on March 3rd, 2011.
It was a very special day, because the students were able to see and hear stories of the work of Dr. Fungchautou Lo and his family in Cambodia. Rev. Schmidt will be going to Cambodia to teach Old and New Testament to evangelists and pastors in May of this year. It will be a special blessing to spend a week there teaching, training and "equipping the saints" in order that they can go and equip more people to share Jesus with all the people of Cambodia.
Many missionaries come to Mission Central so that we can pray for them and send them off to tell more and more people about Jesus. On this special day the adults and students had the privilege of praying for and helping to "send" Rev. Martin P. Schmidt to a land half way around the world where they have not yet heard about Jesus. Here you see the entire group praying for Rev. Schmidt, and the Honorable Missionary Pastor Barry Williams offered a wonderful sending prayer for him.
