REV. JOEL SCHEIWE VISITS MISSION CENTRAL
It was one of those special days to have the privilege of hearing of the work of Pastor Joel Scheiwe and his family from Hong Kong. Pastor Scheiwe made a special stop at Mission Central on his way to a conference in Colorado, and flew into Omaha, where he was met by Mission Central Staff members, Irv and Anne Dana. He stayed there overnight and then met Missionary Gary at Mt. Calvary Lutheran School in Omaha, and after a wonderful presentation at the chapel for the students there, a flying trip to the Bible Study group at Pacific Hills Lutheran church in Omaha provided a great opportunity to share what the Lord is doing in that part of the world.
Following that presentation, we went to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in LaVista, Nebraska and there met with Rev. Keith Grimm, Rev. Tim Heupel, Rev. Ryan Brons. It was such a blessing to meet with the entire staff at this growing church. Rev. Scheiwe spoke in both Lenten services at 5:45 and 6:45 and then Missionary Gary and Rev. Scheiwe both spoke at 7:30 PM to a large crowd that was gathered in the fellowship hall at Beautiful Savior. It was truly a wonderful day, and then on Thursday the 31st of March, Rev. Joel Scheiwe spoke to groups at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Mission Central. The group on that days was special with guest coming from Mapleton, Holstein, Adair, Anita, Cherokee, Remsen, Iowa and Omaha, Columbus, Nebraska. It was truly a special day and here we see Rev. Scheiwe presenting in the fellowship hall to a wonderful group and that group prayed for Rev. Scheiwe and Rev. Dennis Martens from Remsen, Iowa had a special sending prayer. It was a day that we will long remember!
