MISSIONARIES COME FROM SCHALLER, IOWA, HONG KONG, AND KAZAKHSTAN ON JULY 17TH, 2011

What a JOY to welcome the members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Schaller, Iowa to a special Misson Festival at Mission Central.  Rev. Dave Lyons and his dear wife Lori, came with their congregation members and we all met in the air conditioned Fellowship Hall for a special service.  The service started at 10:00 AM on the 17th of July, and even though it was hot outside the Lord was with this group in a very special way!

Rev. Dave Lyons had a wonderful service, and had a great message on the "heat of hell" and the "power of the devil" that made us all aware of the length of eternity and the fact that hell is truly a reality!  What a great message!  At the end of the service, we were blessed to have Jennifer Anderson our missionary teacher from Kazakhstan and Judy Newhouse, our missionary teacher from Hong Kong report on the work that God has called these special people to be part of in His kingdom work.  These teachers did an excellent job of "awaking" all of us to the work that God has called us all to do, and that is simply telling more and more people about Jesus our Savior.

A wonderful meal was provided by the Schaller congregation, and what a great time to visit and fellowship with a number of people who truly were "not normal".  Normal people wouldn't come out in temperatures with a heat index of 110 degrees, but these dear folks came because they wanted to hear the missionaries and worship their Lord Jesus at Mission Central.

It was interesting, because every seat was filled, and the space was "just right".  Here you see the group enjoying the day.

Judy Newhouse and her friend Donita Doehling from Omaha are pictured, and Jennifer Anderson from Kazakhstan are all pictured in front of our Boss here at Mission Central.  (see photo of Newhouse, Doehling and Anderson)

It was truly a special day that we will never, never forget.  God had the right people at the right place at JUST THE RIGHT TIME!  What an encouragement for all of us at Mission Central!
