WELCOME MISSIONARIES FROM PLATTE CENTER AND COLUMBUS, NEBRASKA
It truly was a long trip for the folks from Platte Center and Columbus, Nebraska.....they had to detour because of the flooding and closed bridges, but it sure didn't stop the folks from this area from coming. It was a trip of over 3 hours, and they came and were so interested. Yes, it was July 9th, and the group so much enjoyed meeting folks from Hadar and Pierce and Omaha, Nebraska that came also.
This group of "not normal" people all came for the purpose of a tour of Mission Central, and had the privilege of seeing the new Wayside Prayer Chapel, the Museum and the Office Facilities. They then had the special honor of praying for and sending not one, or two, but THREE missionaries from Taiwan! Yes, Andrew and Noel Schaff and Mark Wolfram were there to report on the work that God has called them to do at Concordia Middle School in Taiwan. They told of the opportunity to teach in a school with 2500 students where 88% of the students are NOT Christian, and they can boldly tell about Jesus in every class session.
These young people gave a great report on their work, and how God was using them to share Jesus with people in darkness. Here you see the group a round the sign from Platte Center and Columbus with Pastor Michael Stockmeyer (See photo of Missionaries from Platte Center and Columbus, Nebraska) Also, you will see the entire group gathered to send these three missionaries to Taiwan, and were praying for them.
