AMAZING MISSIONARY FROM PERU VISITS MISSION CENTRAL
What a blessing to welcome the Honorable Missionary Anthony DiLiberto on November 2nd, 2011 to have him report on his work in the Andes Mountains of Peru. His work and his contacts have led to the establishment of the first Lutheran Church of the LCMS in Peru. This young man has worked with some of the poorest of poor people, and shows them the love of the Lord Jesus, and how HE died for them.
We welcomed a wonderful full house crowd of people to our fellowship hall at 7:00 PM in the evening, and everyone enjoyed the mission report and discussion of the new work in Peru. The entire group went to the barn for the commissioning of Anthony and a group of Hispanic Missionaries from Denison, Iowa were able to be part of the entire program. What a joy to welcome Rev. Merle Mahnken and his youth from Immanuel Lutheran in Schleswig, and Rev. Dan Vogel and the members of his Hispanic Congregation from Denison, Iowa.
Here you see Anthony presenting in the fellowship hall, and the commissioning in the barn. It was an evening that many will never forget.
