THE STORY OF MICHELLE HOEPPNER: FARM GIRL IN CHINA

On April 24th, 2007, a wonderful crowd of people braved the heavy rain, the strong wind and God called all of these people together to witness, what God is doing in China.  Health Care Worker Michelle Hoeppner provided one of the finest presentations, in which she told of 1.3 Billion people waiting for a special love.  She told of her working in one of the poorest of poor provinces in mainland China, and how, through her human care projects, she was touching the lives of people with the Love of Christ.

Michelle told the packed house, how bringing fresh water to villages, allows the people to bathe, in that many only take 3 baths in their lifetime...one at birth, one at the time of their marriage, and when they are buried they are washed also! She told of the conditions of some of the children that she noticed at the schools.  The water helps them to raise more than 6 pigs a year, and improves the health of the people.  She was able to show some of the schools that were held in barns, with very small windows and the smell was so difficult, and that the children had to stand up with no seats for their writing tables.  She has been able to provide help to build new schools in China and the entire building was completed for approxmately $20,000.00.

She told of poor children wanting to go to High School and they just couldn't afford the cost, and how we were providing scholarships of $300.00 to help them attend for the entire year!  More and more people want to hear about Jesus, and she pointed out that of the officially regestered Christians in China, they have about one pastor for every 10,000 Christians!

That evening people came from all over the Midwest to see and hear our China worker, and included in that group were 5 pastors.  Here you see the five pastors, placing their hands on Michelle and sending her back to China on our behalf.  Also note the large crowed that God sent that evening!  What a blessing to see the interest of God's people.
