DONNA MEYER COMES TO MISSION CENTRAL
What a blessing to welcome veteran missionary teacher, Donna Meyer to Mission Central on April 27th, 2011. Donna was able to share her story of her teaching and contacts in Indonesia. The students came from Zion Lutheran School in Denison, Iowa to hear of her work, and nearly 60 students and adults came for this special event in the barn at Mission Central.
An evening meal was provided in the fellowship hall, and pictured here is the group enjoying the meal and what a great group of "young missionaries". Donna told of her working with the teachers in the Muslim Schools there and how the Lord used her to reach out to the people in this country. Donna announced that she will be going to Papau New Guinea to work with teachers and Bible Class and Sunday School Teachers in this country and work with the Gutnius Lutheran Church in Papua New Guinea where their membership is over 100,000 members. She will be working with local Women's Bible Study groups and helping to improve and develop religious instructional materals.
Here you see Donna being prayed for by Rev. Ed Brandt, Rev. Dave Sewing and Rev. Kurt Kaiser, with the full barn at Mission Central. Donna is truly a special missionary, and we have attached her photo also.
