SPECIAL MEN'S EVENT AT MISSION CENTRAL PROVIDES SPECIAL HELP!
The Iowa District West provided a special Saturday event for the folks here at Mission Central. Yes, on the 17th of September, the members of Iowa District West Men's Ministry Breakfast held an event in Mapleton, Iowa to help some of those that lost their homes in the tornado of April of 2011. What a blessing that the men of IDW came to Mission Central to help with projects that needed to be completed.
A number of special jobs were in great need of help here at Mission Central, and they included painting the Mission Central sign, the painting of the mail box, the filling of 3 large holes, the trimming of trees, the raking of the excess lawn clippings, and the special landscaping of the new sidewalk to our New Wayside Mission Chapel. All of those jobs were completed in such a wonderful way, and the Iowa District Staff of Dr. Jill Davis and her husband Kurt and the Honorable Dr. Roger Curtis, Executive Treasurer of the Iowa District West came also to Mission Central. Here you see the sign that was painted with the masking materials still in place and the 3 Executives of Iowa District West of the LCMS in our Wayside Prayer Chapel at Misson Central. It truly was a very special day.
