MISSION CENTRAL BOOTH AT LWML CONVENTION PEORIA, ILLINOIS
What a blessing to have the privilege of being in Peoria, Illinois for the National Convention
of the International LWML gathering. Over 4,000 members of the LWML came from all over the
United States for this gathering. It was the largest event ever held at the Convention Center at Peoria,
Illinois. The special honor for Mission Central was the fact that the 2nd Offering from that huge convention
was designated for Mission Central! What a blessing!
It was such a blessing to have our own Mission Central booth at the convention and we had so many people
stop and see us. We gave away over a thousand of our Mission Central pens, and over a thousand of the little crosses, and both of these items had been donated by special people.
The booth could not have been set up and completed if it hadn't been for the efforts of Volunteer Kathryn Sprecher from Des Moines, Iowa....who set up the booth. Old Missionary Gary arrived on Thursday and worked in the booth on Thursday and all day on Friday and Friday night and then drove home very late on Friday to get home about 2:30 AM on Saturday.
