IOWA'S NEWEST CAREER MISSIONARIES GOING TO PANAMA
What would it be like for you to be a young married couple, just married on August 20th, 2005, and then be heading for Panama as career Missionaries to tell the people of Panama about the Lord Jesus? That's exactly what Jon and Heidi Heisterkamp of Remsen, Iowa are going to do. They will be leaving in January 2007 for Panama, where Jon will be the administrative officer for all of Latin America, and Heidi will be using her elementary education degree to touch the lives of the children of Panama. Jon and Heidi came to Mission Central recently to have their pictures taken in the "normal" place, with their "boss" in the background. Yes, they are starting from "scratch" and they need our prayers and support.
As career missionaries they are not going as volunteers or for short term....this is their vocation and are committing for this "call" in their life. Now, if they are going on our behalf, we should pray for them and provide support for them. This young couple would so much appreciate your prayers, and would love to hear from you. Heidi will be putting out their newsletter, and would love to have your contact. Jon will be traveling to all of mission stations in Latin America, and as Business Manager will be carrying a great deal of responsibility. Won't you consider praying for this young couple and would you like them to come to your congregation? Please contact Gary Thies if you would like to "officially adopt" this young couple or see below to download the adoption agreement.
