AMAZING MISSION LEGEND SPEAKS AT MISSION CENTRAL
On April 8th and 9th, 2011, Dr. Eugene Bunkowski came to Mission Central as part of the Small Town and Rural Ministry Conference that was held for these two days, that was attended by people from North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska.... Yes, it was an amazing opportunity to hear how God can use small town and rural congregations as special missionaries to the people of their communities, where more than 50% of the people don't know about Jesus, as their personal Savior. Dr. Ralph Geisler was also present and provided valuable insights to representatives of many congregations from the Mid-West.
Dr. Bunkowski, a real "legend" in our LCMS, had served for over 20 years among the Yala People in Nigeria, and then over 20 years as an instructor at the Fort Wayne Seminary. In the last several years, Dr. Bunkowski served the Oswald Hoffman School of Outreach in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has written many books and certainly has been a special blessing to our church.
What a JOY to have Dr. Bunkowski present a special Bible Study in our new Wayside Prayer Chapel at Mission Central. Here you see Dr. Bunkowski teaching in the chapel...it was two days that many, many will never forget.
