SPECIAL GROUP FROM LAVISTA, NEBRASKA BEAUTIFUL SAVIOR COMES TO MISSION CENTRAL
What a blessing to welcome the confirmation students from Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church at LaVista, Nebraska. DCE James Haack, came and brought all of the 8th grade confirmation students to Mission Central to spend the day on July 22nd, 2011. What a treat for the students to see the new Wayside Prayer Chapel, the offices and then to have some time to tour the Mission Museum. A special program was given to the students by Teacher John Hinkle from Southern China, and he told of his work and how he relates to his students in that part of the world.
A lunch was served to the students and their adults that accompanied them. Several activities were held in the form of races and one of the students, Tim, was dressed up as a northern Thailand Hmong man. It was a time that they will long remember. In one picture you see the students and adults by the sign at Mission Central. In the other picture the group was gathered outside before they left and they prayed for Teacher Judy Newhouse going to Hong Kong, pictured in the front of the group and also Teacher John Hinkle leaving for Southern China.
