WHAT DOES A HUNDRED YEAR OLD MISSIONARY LOOK LIKE??????
June was the month when God provided the gift of 100 Years to one of most faithful and greatest supporters of Mission Central! One might ask...."What does a 100 year old Missionary look like?" Well, the answer to that question is very, very, very easy! Enclosed is a picture of Mr. John Walker of Stanhope, Iowa. He and his dear wife, Margaret live in their own home, and God has granted John the gift of 100 years of life, and most important the Lord is allowing them to live in their own home, and they are both very, very sharp mentally. What a JOY it was for old Missionary Gary to spend several hours with them, and what a blessing to listen to the stories and the "Miracle Experiences" that this couple have seen in their lives. John stated so clearly, a wonderful truth in his life....he said, "Gary, when I started supporting our dear missionaries, I realized I couldn't go to different parts of the world to tell people about Jesus, but I COULD send someone in my place."...and then he continued, "When I started supporting those missionaries, it was just like God provided even more for us so we could continue to support even more, and we love hearing from them!" John smiled and said, "Our God keeps HIS promises!" When I got ready to leave I told both John and Margaret that I would "See them later"...and they both "got it" and said..."We know that for sure, because of Jesus!" John and Walker are true evidence that the Lord can use us for HIS kingdom work, even when we are 100 years old!!!!!!
